Katie Couric and 60 Minutes beat Matt Lauer and NBC's Today Show with the first major interview with US Airways heroic pilot and crew. At one time, both Good Morning America and CBS Morning were running interviews with the captain and crew at the same time on Monday morning, February 9. NBC, which had originally touted that it was going to have the first exclusive interview with "Sully," was running interviews with the mother of octuplets. Can't wait to see the ratings between America's first hero of 2009 and the infamous mother of 14 kids who says she just wanted to have a big family. Now Tom Cruise is said to be wanting to run a movie of the famous Miracle on the Hudson. I assume he'll pass on a movie of the Octuplets. With all the great publicity, US Airways must have thought the timing was right to start charging $7 for a pillow and blanket on its domestic flights. If you put up the extra bucks for First Class, you can still get them for free. |
