How would you like to be the press secretary to llinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich He was arrested on Tuesday on corruption charges, including that he tried to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by fellow Democrat and President-elect Barack Obama. Just how much is a US Senate seat worth these days? Did he try to put it on ebay? Just how do you market a Senate seat? Wonder how many people were considering. |

Wonder what the ultimate fallout will be in the Senate (and in politics overall) now that Senator Harry Reid has flipflopped and will be seating Roland Burris to Barrack Obama's vacated Senate seat? First he says no way will Burris be seated. Now everything seems to be okay. What changed? Seems that President-elect Obama managed to stay out of this latest chapter in Governor Blagojevich's scandal, although it's possible he had a talk with Reid and told him "we don't need this." And what about Blago's on the hoof briefings with reporters while he's jogging the streets of Chicago? Perhaps it's a new style of media relations. Either way, he's certainly a man on the run. |

Not shy about staying in the limelight, Gov. Blagojevich presided over the start of the Illinois State Senate this week - carried live on ABC.com. This, of course, is the same Senate that will try him on the House's impeachment charges. |
